Koma collects nothing. There are no accounts, no sign-ups, no analytics, and no tracking of any kind, on this website or inside the app itself.
Every file you open, your reading progress, bookmarks, and settings are stored locally in your browser's own storage (IndexedDB). None of it is ever transmitted anywhere, seen by us, or shared with anyone. If you clear your browser data, that data is gone — we don't have a copy of it either, because we never had one.
To load the app, your browser downloads a handful of code libraries (React, PDF.js, JSZip, and libarchive.js) from public content delivery networks. Loading any file from the internet reveals your IP address to whoever is serving it — the same as visiting any website — but none of these providers ever receive any information about what you read, since your files never leave your device. After the first successful load, your browser caches these libraries, and no further requests are needed even without an internet connection.
Fonts are not part of this: Koma's typefaces are bundled with the app itself and never requested from a third party.
Koma does not set or use cookies.
Because Koma does not collect any data from anyone, it does not collect any data from children either.
If this policy ever changes, the update will be reflected on this page with a new "last updated" date.
